Vehicles Steering wheel shakes when traveling over 20mph. Dealer has reproduced the problem multiple times but insists it’s a “design limitation”. The shaking can cause loss of control of the vehicle. Dealer refuses to investigate further. This has been occurring since day of purchase.

While traveling at highway speed on Interstate 95, the vehicle experienced a complete and sudden loss of propulsion. The vehicle would not respond to the Vehicle Restart function. The driver was able to safely pull to the shoulder from the right lane. The vehicle was towed to a Rivian service center, where technicians identified a low-voltage event matching a known Rivian engineering investigation. Rivian confirmed no current repair exists and that engineering is actively working on software improvements. The vehicle was returned unrepaired after 13 days. Rivian also replaced the 12V battery under warranty at a prior service visit in July 2025 for a related electrical system defect. Two field service actions (FSAM-1507, FSAM-1794) have also been performed on this vehicle.

The entertainment and gauge cluster displays begin to slow down and stutter, eventually leading to a full reboot. This causes the ADAS view, as well as the blind spot cameras, and reverse camera to display a still image, even while the vehicle is moving, or display no image at all. Also, if this happens while Highway Drive Assist is active, the state of the system is not displayed and an audible chime is played.

The horn no longer works. Mine and other’s safety are at risk because I have no way to relay hazards while driving.the issue has been ongoing and dealer has not reached back out. The component has not been inspected. No warning lights or messages.

The contact owns a 2024 Rivian R1T. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed with the cruise control activated, the "Drive Fault," message was displayed after which the vehicle lost motive power and the contact became aware that the brakes were not functioning properly, requiring increased effort to bring the vehicle to a complete stop. The contact was able to pull to the shoulder of the roadway to turn off the vehicle. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle returned to normal functionality. An unknown warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 1,700.

I believed my car had a problem with the seals of the windows allowing severe wind noise. After attempted repair the problem persisted and, on closer inspection, it became evident that the driver side door is mis-installed and crooked. Rivian attempted to reprair this and only made it worse. The amount of wind/road noise that is coming in now is as if the windows was open. The door frame vibrates and whistles at speed. The mobile tech doesn't feel this is repairable but Rivian won't take responsibility for it. They have denied my BBB claim and I am pursuing a lemon lawyer.

Rivian alerted me that there was a “service action” related to the hub, and while waiting for that appointment, the hub came loose while driving and began grinding against the brakes and went into full system shutdown. The truck needed to be towed and the hub and brakes needed to be replaced. The truck was undrivae while driving at highway speeds and could have crashed. When questioned, the service center reiterated that this was “not a recall” but simply a head up. The repairs were covered under warranty.

"truck or the Model X, at least the Tesla didn't uh well, I wasn't really stranded, but at least I wasn't in a position to get towed. Uh but yes, Rivian took care of everything. Uh no cost to me except my time and an additional adventure and content to it's not a simple design, and that's not to say that simple design is bad, but I just feel that this has more character. Uh, but check out the seats. It looks really nice. It has the Rivian lettering right there. This is vegan leather and um, it has perforation because the front seats have ventilated as well as heated seats functionality. love about this also is it still has the manual door release or door unlock. Um I just prefer it. I I don't know. I just I just like it. Unfortunately, the Gen 2s have push buttons similar to Tesla. That's one thing I wish they would have kept, but I I don't know. Uh, apologies for some of the dust and stuff. I don't the factory or OEM floor mats. I do like them, but they're not as functional as the aftermarket ones, but I just like the way they look. Uh, the kids don't write here as often. Uh, this is primarily my vehicle, so I don't have to worry about each seat right here. And there is a couple down there as well. And there's also an outlet down there dogs to get their groom. So that's why I had it here. Uh but yeah, I mean I really like the interior. I don't know"

"So, I don't know what happened there. Uh but I do have a lease video talking about all of the deals that I got with it. Uh the limestone color is an option that you have to pay for, but during the time I took delivery, I was able to get it uh for free and I love the limestone color. Uh my my first choice was Canyon Red. Uh but limestone just stood out for time of recording, we have driven 10,614.3 miles. And then you just subtract 49 miles because that's what 4,180 kwatt hours of energy. I will put up on the screen what that equivalent is cost just if you're wondering how much it would have cost for me to charge 4,180 kW hours. I did a blizzard up and down major grade zero slippage. The front tires had only 3/32" on them! "Ventilated seats were amazing on the 800+ mile drive. It was a really hot day and the sun was beating throughout the drive, the ventilated seats felt so cold I thought my back was wet. But that’s where it ended for the ventilated seats, the day after I got home from the drive, the ventilated seats were maybe 5 percent of the power they used to have. I can no longer feel it on my back. The legs work maybe 20 percent. This is on max setting. I had to go to the service center for them to install the tonneau cover and I brought up the ventilated seat issue. The tech right away said yea I can’t feel it on the back. After checking the 2 demo vehicles and the loaner they gave me, there was no difference in the ventilated seats. They all felt like mine. I think this is a major issue Rivian needs to address. The service manager said they can warranty the seats out but I don’t think this issue has been addressed. If I get new seats I’ll end up with the same problem again. This is an issue owners will need to escalate in order for there to be a change. This issue is a great disappointment that it has not been addressed. The tech manager said he would escalate it and follow up with me, but I haven’t heard anything and doubt I will."
